    • Traffic Manager, Resinol Chemical Company, from Max Robinson, her grandson: "Verna Beatrice Wilson put her husband and her two sons through medical school by working at the Resinol Chemical Company, which is directly across the street from Davidge Hall, the oldest medical school building in North America currently used for teaching. It has been in use since 1808.
My grandmother was the most amazing person I have ever known. Her brothers and sisters were all tremendously industrious and virtuous." "My grandmother, however, got her job at age 16 or 18 through another cousin, Harry Dulany.
The Resinol company may indeed have fallen on hard times in the sixties, or perhaps was just penurious. After serving Resinol for over 50 years, my grandmother received at her retirement a $500 US Savings Bond from LeRoy Carter in recognition of her long and faithful service -- $7.50 for each year. That is the only retirement income she received from Resinol. She was supported by her two sons for the rest of her life.
Resinol soap had a clean and pleasant odor, as did the Resinol building, which I visited a number of times during my youth. The ointment was wholly without medicinal value."
