Elbow Lane became Little Camden which became Eislen St.

Mount Clare : The area around today’s Washington Boulevard was known as Carroll’s Field, and was considered among the finest sources of brick making clay in the country at the time.

After Carroll’s death in 1783, a number of brickmakers bought parcels of the original estate and established brickyards and kilns. Several of these entrepreneurs, such as George Warner, James Berry, and Alexander Russell, gave their names to the streets later laid out by their brickyards, most of which were located on either side of the Washington Road, an area known as Carroll’s Field.

    • per notes from Elise Pendleton:
“William Presbury Patterson, after marrying Frances Gould, moved to Baltimore from Harford County, Maryland, and resided on Lexington Street, adjoining the residence of Charles Carroll, where all the children were born.”
The Carroll Mansion is on Lombard, not Lexington. Baltimore city directories do not confim a Patterson residence on either Lombard or Lexington.
